| Missions, objectives |
The cd2e is a team of environmental and business experts dedicated to supporting the environmental sector in Northern France, at home and abroad.
We achieve this by:
- Bringing together environmental and business expertise in a "one stop shop" for environmental projects.
- Working in partnership with regional development organisations and structures involved in the creation and development of businesses in France and Europe.
- Delivering specific programmes for the eco-construction, recycling, alternative treatments of used and natural water and renewable energies sectors.
- Engaging in international partnerships to reinforce eco-companies’ capacities, to develop exchanges (facilitate commercial relationships and partnerships that benefit eco-enterprises) and to welcome investors to Northern France.

Role in the CAP'EM project
|
CD2E brings to the team an invaluable experience of communicating with businesses around eco-construction, as demonstrated by their online eco-materials database, regional network of eco-construction professionals, and thematic programmes on sustainable construction and energy.
It also recently (2006-2007) developed a simplified life cycle analysis (LCA) tool for eco-materials that will be brought to the project. CD2E have close contact with different eco-design and LCA experts nationally, like the French Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
CD2E is lead partner, meaning that they are responsible for all financial management and overall delivery of the project.
CD2E also leads working group 3, which disseminates information on the methodology, tools and evaluated eco-materials towards professional audiences in the building construction sector.
