For the first time, experts from 5 European countries are joining forces to reference eco-materials in a database, which is reliable, transparent, regularly updated, easy to access and rich in technical and practical information, in order to enable eco-materials to be compared and the impact of the materials and building products on the environment and on health to be assessed.
The CAP’EM project will be able to propose at the end of 2010 a simplified low cost tool, based on LCA standards to enable SME's to qualify their products as eco-materials.
In the meantime, the CAP'EM website aims to become a "hub" for information on eco-materials. Use the menus to the left to access our
