Missions, objectives
The Association of Community Rail Partnerships – ACoRP – is a federation of over 60 community rail partnerships and rail promotion groups across the UK. ACoRP is an organisation of ‘do-ers’, focused on practical initiatives which add up to a better more sustainable local railway. It is well experienced in education and training that it will bring to the project.
In January 2004 ACoRP took over the consultancy work of TR&IN (Transport Research and Information Network), which has over 10 years of experience in consultancy related to railways and their social, economic and environmental benefits.

Role in the CAP'EM project
ACoRP brings to the CAPEM project an interesting mix of topics: railway and eco-materials / eco-construction, renovation of existing old historic railway construction, social and economic positive impacts, sustainable development for railway in Great Britain.
ACoRP will be developing an eco-materials demonstration centre in the renovated Huddersfield Water Tower (adjacent to Hudderfield Station, West Yorkshire, England), which will also house the new head office for ACoRP. Eco-construction methods will also be applied to the regeneration project itself, demonstrating that new techniques are feasible, even in heritage listed buildings.
